LocalReply AI ("we", "us", or "our") operates the LocalReply AI Chrome Extension and the website localreplyai.com. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information from Google OAuth. This is used solely to create and manage your account.
When you select a review and choose "Reply with LocalReply AI" (or click "Generate Reply" on a supported page), the extension sends the review text, the reviewer name if you add it, and the star rating to our server to generate a reply. The extension only reads text you select or a review you ask it to reply to. We record that a reply was generated (date, star rating, industry and text lengths) to count your monthly usage. If you edit a reply before copying it, we store the original and your edited version to learn your writing style. For 1 and 2 star reviews we store the reviewer name and your reply in your recovery tracker.
You may provide your business name, industry type, preferred tone, and reply length. These are stored locally in the browser extension and synced to our server to personalize your replies.
We track the number of replies generated per month to enforce plan limits. We also collect anonymous analytics (page views, feature usage) via PostHog and Vercel Web Analytics to improve the product. Vercel Web Analytics is cookie-free and does not track individual visitors across sites.
The free generator on our website sends the review text, star rating and optional business details you enter to Anthropic to write the reply. We don't store that text. To limit free use to a few replies a day, we store a keyed hash of your IP address with a timestamp. The hash can't be turned back into your IP address without our server key, and we delete these records after 2 days.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or payment details. We only receive your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
We do not sell your data. We share data only with the following service providers who are necessary to operate the product:
Your account data and reply history are retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days. Anonymous analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication tokens, and row-level security on our database. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
